EMPOWERMENT launches M4L AWARE surveillance system to warn parents of school board actions

EMPOWERMENT, a parent‑rights organization, unveiled its M4L AWARE surveillance system at the group’s annual meeting in Dallas, Texas, on Friday, promising parents advance warning of controversial school‑board policies before votes are taken.

The digital platform sweeps the agendas of all 13,000 U.S. school districts every twelve hours, assigning each agenda item a score of one to ten for concerns ranging from First Amendment rights and curriculum to transparency, while also rating positive initiatives on the same scale.

“We’ll be able to identify the school districts that are supporting parental rights, that are choosing the right curriculums, and we’ll be able to identify the ones that aren’t,” said Tina Descovich, EMPOWERMENT’s chief executive officer, during a briefing with reporters. “And that’s the best part for us because it winds us up, and we know exactly where to go to send in the troops, the ground game to go show up at the school board meeting.”

Descovich added that the system will allow the organization to mobilize its network of legal partners more quickly, enabling rapid lawsuits against policies the group believes infringe on parental rights.

M4L AWARE, which stands for Agenda Watch Alert Response and Engage, harnesses Super Intelligence to monitor for education topics the group labels as diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) teachings, transgender‑related curriculum, “woke” changes and potential Title IX violations.

EMPOWERMENT, which counts more than 300 national chapters and hundreds of thousands of members, has risen to prominence since the COVID‑19 pandemic and is actively organizing in several 2026 election battleground states, including Texas, Florida and Georgia.
