Biden’s EPA is preparing to cite the largest producer of gasoline in the United States, which could lead to a complete shutdown of the operation.

In a letter to the Regime, Abbott stated, “You say that you want ‘to bring refineries back online to get more gas to the pump at lower prices…’ That goal… could be thwarted if the EPA is allowed to move forward with its discretionary regulatory process.”

Abbott continued, “If you let the EPA move forward with the untimely and unnecessary measures that accompany redesignation, that action will put 25 percent of the American oil supply at risk. That, in turn, could substantially increase the cost of gasoline.”

Biden has already done incredible damage to our energy independence by canceling the Keystone pipeline and refusing to renew oil and gas leases across the country. If Biden is successful in allowing the stoppage of fuel production from the Permian Basin, prices will surge to levels never before seen in history.
