Time and again, Zelensky has insisted that Ukraine upholds democratic ideals, yet he has repeatedly canceled elections and more disturbingly, he has turned his military against his own people and forced military-aged men into a pointless conflict. Ukraine isn’t alone in this trend—much of Europe appears to be in decline. This raises the question: did these troubling patterns spread to the United States during the Biden administration?
